Alec Glass

Okay so I'm writing this post for my bro. And no I did not get his permission. :)
I don't think he'll mind, especially if it leads to something!
Click here to go to my regular blog for more info on me. :)

My brother, Alexander McLean Glass, goes by Alec. He is 29.
His birthday is April 18, 1982.
He probably wouldn't willingly admit to this, but he really is looking for a special someone to settle down with.
He is handsome, tall (like 6'3 or something), and a strong believer. He will make an awesome head of the household one day.
He is wickedly funny and always willing to try new things.
He has a heart for ministry but is currently working in a bar. Ha, go figure. He loves the conversations it brings.
He is living in Seattle right now but is looking into moving to Colorado to maybe pursue teaching.
He has a degree in engineering from Colorado State and is super smart but engineering just wasn't what he wanted to do. He did it cause he has the brain for it but he's much more of people person. He worked as a mentor sort of for college students in Montana and with the Navigators in Colorado. He's just looking for a reason to settle down somewhere. :)
He communicates best through written word, so if you're an emailer he'd love that.
He loves anything outdoors. So must be willing to hike, camp, bike, etc.
He likes brunettes but not required, and I know looks do matter to him (lets be honest ladies) but he loves a woman that can be outdoorsy with him and not worry about her looks and makeup. He does not like a girly girl I don't think.
Hmmm, what else girls?
Oh he loves loves loves kids. And he may not say so but he is SO GOOD with them. He loves his 3 nieces so much.
What else?
If there's something else I can share (appropriate of course) let me know.

Go ahead and tell me about yourself and link to your blog or facebook with pictures (hey sister has to approve right? :) ) and I'll let you know if I'm sending him your info or I'll give you his email or something. :)
Here's some pics of Alec:
Here's our whole fam. last November
Sorry silly pic, but I love it. This is when we told him we were expecting our first baby. :)

Hanging with dad.
Holding his 1st niece for the 1st time.

And last but not least one of my favs. :)

Candy Land Story

Once upon a time two Candy Princesses, named Bella and Brynn, disappeared. It was a bright, sunny morning and to everyone’s surprise, the princesses and their fabulous Candy Castle simple were no longer where they should be….

“Lost princesses are so distressing,” said Plumpy, the last of the Plumpa trolls, as he shoves a juicy Gingerbread Plum into his mouth. Plumpy is the caretaker of the Gingerbread Plum Trees and his job is to gather up all the ripe plums that fall from the trees. But ever since the princesses disappearance, Plumpy does more eating than gathering….growing more plump and more glum with every bite of a plum.

Mr. Mint, the peppermint Lumber-jack and keeper of the Royal Peppermint Forest, also thinks the situation is somewhat sticky. Mr. Mint cuts down big red and white peppermint trees into bite-sized whistles and flutes, creating the sweetest sounding musical instruments ever. “My peppermint piccolos have been rather off key ever since the princesses left,” says Mr. Mint. “I certainly hope they return soon.”

“And what of my Gumdrop Mountains,” moans Jolly, the official Gumdrop Mountain greeter. “They don’t just glisten and glow the way they used to.” Indeed, the pastel-colored, sugar-crested range grows paler and paler every day the princesses are away!

“Oh, do cheer up,” says the ever-hopeful Gramma Nutt, who lives in the Peanut Brittle House. Gramma believes that some very special boys and girls can help find the missing princesses and their castle right at the end of the Candy Land path….if they look hard enough! “But whoever can these very special children be?” she asks.

“I know just the group to find my fellow princesses,” says Princess Lolly, of the Lollipop Woods. In a voice as light and airy as the fluffiest marshmallow, she says, “They’re the Candy Land kids…..courageous, clever, and ever so determined.

“They’ll never find the princesses or their castle,” Lord Licorice says sourly, “for I have hidden them from sight so that all of Candy Land will be mine!” His heart is as hard as rock candy. Always gloomy, ever grim, Lord Licorice lives very much alone, except for a few bitter chocolate bats to keep him company!

“Utter nonsense,” Queen Frostine says of Lord Licorice’s evil plan. Peacefully adrift on an ice-cream float in the Ice Cream Sea, warm-hearted Frostine thinks the Candy Land kids will surely find the princesses. “And no matter how many times Lord Licorice plots and plans,” she adds, “Candy Land will sparkle once again.

“When the kids pass my Molasses Swamp, the princesses and their castle will soon be found,” oozes Gloppy, the kingly Molasses Monster who is definitely more “goosome” than gruesome….

All of Candy Land is ready to help the Candy Land kids find the princesses. Even the gingerbread men from the Cookie Patrol have offered to act as guides along the path.

Alright Candy Land kids!! Please visit the 6 different areas of Candy Land. Once you do, you’ll find Princess Bella and Princess Brynn and their lost castle and everyone in Candy Land will live happily ever after!
